We were so excited when Adrienne came in a few weeks ago and still needed a florist for her wedding this coming weekend! Her Aunt had offered to do her flowers, but changed her mind last minute. If something of that magnitude had happened a few weeks before my wedding there is no way I would have as laid back as Adrienne!

We’ve got Adrienne all set for this weekend and some of her flowers came in today so I wanted to share.  It’s going to be a gorgeous winter wedding with burgundy dresses and red, white and burgundy flowers.

With three weddings this weekend, we have in 80 stems of dendrobium orchids, 90 stems of hydrangea and much much more! Check out how full my workroom is, along with the lilies that have spread into the family room. My house sure smells amazing though!

We cut in freesia, miniature calla lilies, bells of ireland, dendrobium orchids, hydrangea, roses, spray roses, oriental lilies, iris, lisianthus and assorted greenery and fillers today.

I just finished up the wedding for tomorrow so I’ll try to get those pictures up soon for you! Here are the BEFORE pictures though. Enjoy!

For the first event of this crazy busy weekend, we had a wedding at Trinity Lutheran on Glendale and the Hilton. I absolutely loved both venues! I don’t know why I’ve never had a wedding at the Hilton before, but I highly recommend it!

The girls had hot pink dresses and we created bouquets of purple stock, purple lisianthus, hot pink roses and green hypericum berries. To the flowers from the bridesmaid’s we added more stems, hot pink miniature calla lilies and white stephanotis with hot pink centers. LOVED it!

On the pews, we hung pomanders of hot pink and white carnations and added tulle at the back of the church along the back few pews to create a more intimate setting for this smaller wedding.

At the Hilton, we submerged dendrobium orchids and floated candles in each vase. Once they were all lit i’m sure it created a wonderful ambiance!

Busy busy weekend but I’m super excited because tomorrow is the last day with students! I will be able to completely focus on events!

Saturday we have a pink, purple, white and green wedding with hot pink and white roses, hot pink spray roses, hot pink dendrobium orchids, green hypericum berries, purple stock, purple lisianthus and purple statice.

We also have a graduation party with white hydrangeas in a square vase and we’re going to make them yellow and add props to make them like a bird to represent the Pettisville Blackbirds.

Then on Sunday we have the bridal shower of one of our July brides who is from North Carolina. We are incorporating dogwood branches (the state flower), white dendrobium orchids, white roses, green mums and green hypericum berries into centerpieces for the tables. We are also decorating the banister in the entryway of the home with white tulle and white hydrangeas. It will be breathtaking!

The wedding on Sunday is going to be gorgeous too! This is my purple and blue wedding! The girls are wearing a deep purple color and the flowers consist of blue, white and green hydrangea, light blue delphinium, purple stock and white, purple and green dendrobium orchids.

I can’t wait to share all the pictures! It’s so fun to see what things look like on Wednesday and then share what everything was artistically turned into! Check back often and don’t forget to leave comments!

A new trend I’ve been noticing is that more and more brides are requesting small bouquets for the mothers to carry instead of pin-on or wrist corsages. This makes the mother feel more formal without making them feel like they are going to prom. It is also more comfortable when hugging everyone and shaking hands before and after the wedding because you can set it down and not worry about smashing flowers. Check out how cute this one was in a wedding from last year…. Love photos taken by Mary Wyar!

Want to send flowers to a funeral showing, but don’t know who to call? Want something fun instead of tradition? Call or email Beautiful Blooms by Jen! Although we work from my home, if we are able to, we would love to help you out for every event in your life! If we are unable to help you out, we will refer you to another awesome florist.

The arrangement on the left can be used on the alter at your wedding, or for a funeral. Why do funeral arrangements have to be boring?!

I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving! Here is a picture from Angie’s wedding at Bay Pointe Inn in Shelbyville, Michigan this summer.
